6" Jade Stump
Plant Care | I recommend doing a 5 or 10 gallon pot with a drainage hole at the bottom because it will grow even bigger with more space.
Soil blend: You can pack with this blend of 1/3 peat moss, 2/3 organic planting soil, with a scoop of pearlite for a little nice blend to ensure proper aeration with the growing and watering.
Watering: You can use with this 5 gallon pot size, 1 cup to 1 1/2 cup of water once a week up to twice in the spring and summer times. When winter comes, water once every 1 1/2 weeks to 2 weeks especially in the colder regions.
If you feel it is really dry, it is okay to give an extra cycle of the 1 cup to 1 1/2 cups of water or more after 1 minute of watering from the first time. The Jade trees are really tolerant to weather and growing conditions.
As for better care, you can also do a little nice spray and dusting every week to 2 weeks when indoors.
During Spring and Summer, you can add a shake of organic fertilizer from 1 tsp - 2 tsp near the circumference of the base trunk (easy way) or remove the root, repot with new soil, at the halfway level do a little shake in the middle, then add the root ball and pack with soil.
Organic soil, organic nutrient mix, and utilizing reverse osmosis filtered water to remove any impurities and around 7ph to 7.5ph is recommended but not required.
Ideal temperatures would be 70-84F and also I wouldn't put it directly near a heat source but rather in an area with partial shade or if indoor, just close to the window sill with a nice humidifier.
Morning sun transitioning to partial shade would be the perfect conditions for the Jade Tree but be aware of sunburn when the summer arises. You can use a sun block tarp to assist with the growing conditions when placing the Jade Tree outside.
